Rick Miller-Haraway

Rick Miller-Haraway serves as the Director of Catholic Charities Raleigh Regional Office, which provides social services and emergency assistance to over 45,000 people per year in Wake County.  Rick has 24+ years of experience in social work and non-profit management.  He believes strongly in the importance of partnerships between the non-profit sector, the business sector and government agencies to address the serious challenges of poverty in our communities.  He has served for 8 years on the Leadership Council for the 10 Year Plan to End Homelessness and the Raleigh Wake Partnership to End and Prevent Homelessness.  He is also an Adjunct Faculty member for the Social Work Departments at NC State University and the University of North Carolina.  He has been in leadership positions on numerous Boards, including the Alliance of AIDS Services NC, the Emergency Food and Shelter Program Board and the Social Services Advisory Committee for Wake County Human Services. He received his Master Degree in Social Work from the University of North Carolina in 1989 and his Bachelor Degree with a double major in Religion and Economics from Duke University in 1975.

Terry Foley, CPO Director

Terry Foley has served as Director for Catholic Parish Outreach food pantry since 2004, leading the program through a period of unprecedented growth.  She began her non-profit work after a 15 year career with Nortel Networks as a Business Line Manager and Technical Support Engineer.  Terry holds a Masters of Business Administration from Meredith College and a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from NC State University.  She lives in Cary with her husband Chris and their cat Milo.

Kelly Rappl, CPO Assistant Director

Kelly Rappl

Kelly Rappl has served on our staff since 2011 managing the food distribution for CPO.  She began her non-profit work after a career in Finance/Accounting and Project Coordination at Futures/Constella, Progress Energy, and Nortel Networks.  Kelly holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Wesleyan College. 

Kathy Barnack, Volunteer Coordinator

Kathy Barnack

Kathy serves as the Volunteer Coordinator for Catholic Parish Outreach food pantry.  Before joining CPO, she volunteered as a CPO Parish Liaison and helped coordinate volunteers and donation events at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church.  She also worked at Nortel Networks, and subsequently Avaya Inc., for over 20 years as an IT System Analyst and Business Analyst.  Kathy holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from UNC-Charlotte.  She lives in Cary with her husband, Mike, her children Nikolai and Natalia, and her dog Gracie. 

Myra Bradley, Family Care Coordinator

Myra Bradley

Myra Bradley serves as The Family Care Coordinator with Catholic Charities. She comes to CPO with a wealth of knowledge, education and experience by way of working with various organizations such as Southlight Inc., The Head Start Program, Step Up Ministry, Raleigh Rescue Mission and Wake County Human Services. She served on The Board Of Directors for Wheels 4 Hope for 3 years and started her own Non Profit Organization called Women That Care, Inc., where she serves the community with weekend assistance with toiletries, emergency survival snack bags and backpacks for school. She also hosts an event each year called Keep Raleigh Warm by giving out new blankets and gently used clothing for the winter months along with giving out Thanksgiving baskets and Christmas In The Community. Myra says that she is Living Her Life On Purpose, and she is excited about serving the community with CPO.

When not serving the community, she spends her spare time with her family, 3 children and 9 grandchildren.

Elise Mudd, Jesuit Volunteer

Elise Mudd

Elise Mudd is from Washington, DC. She grew up in Maryland where she also attended the University of Maryland and earned a degree in Psychology. After college, she worked for several years as a paralegal in a small law firm in Washington, DC. Elise enjoys running, baking and organizing young adult events for her local church.

Clelia Sweeney, Jesuit Volunteer

Clelia Sweeney

Clelia Sweeney serves as a Jesuit Volunteer Corps for the year by working at Catholic Parish Outreach. Before coming to CPO, she was volunteering with Love Wins Community Engagement Center. She is from Vermont, and graduated from DePaul University with a degree in American Studies and an interest in social justice. Most of her jobs before this year have been in bookstores.
